IPL 2022: The ninth match of the IPL is being played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI). Batting first, Rajasthan lost 8 wickets in 20 overs and scored 193 runs. Opener Jose Buttler from RR scored a century. He hit 100 off 68 balls with 11 fours and five sixes.

Rajasthan scored 193 runs in this match. Along with this game, Buttler also won the Orange Cap, which is awarded to the player who scores the most runs. In this case, Buttler overtook Kolkata Knight Riders’ Andre Russell. Russell did this in the match against Punjab on Friday.

This is Buttler’s 300th T20 match. He set the record in his 300th T20I match. Buttler is the first player to score a century in this 15th season. This is Buttler’s second century in the IPL. He had earlier scored 124 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2021. At the same time, this is Buttler’s third T20I century in total.

Buttler is the fourth English batsman to score a century in the IPL. He is preceded in death by Kevin Pietersen, Ben Stokes, and Johnny Bairstow. Pietersen scored centuries in the 2012 IPL, Stokes in the 2017 and 2020 IPL, and Bairstow in the 2019 IPL. Butler has been scoring centuries for the last two seasons in a row.
