Navi Delhi: Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has decided not to play in the Ranji Trophy. The upcoming Ranji Trophy will start on February 10. The Baroda team has been announced for the tournament with Kedar Deodhar as the captain and Vishnu Solanki as the vice-captain.

Hardik has been out of the Indian team for the last few months. He had represented the country in the T20 World Cup last year. Hardik then stated that he was not available for selection, citing fitness reasons. A few days back, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had said that Hardik was injured and was given a break until he was fully fit. So that he could serve Indian cricket. I believe he will be seen playing Ranji Trophy. Hardik will be seen bowling more in this tournament.

Hardik Pandya has been facing injury since the ODI World Cup in England in 2019. He also had back surgery. So he could not get fitness for bowling. He did not bowl last IPL season. He also failed to bowl in the opening match of the T20 World Cup. As a result, Hardik lost his place in the Indian team first and was not retained by the Mumbai Indians after that.

Hardik will be seen leading for the first time in IPL 2022. Pandya was not retained by Mumbai Indians. Now the Ahmedabad team has bought him for Rs 15 crore.
